PURPOSE:To obtain a video signal superior in low-frequency characteristic by providing a frequency characteristic compensating means which emphasizes a low frequency range and suppresses a high frequency range relatively. CONSTITUTION:The difference output of a subtracting circuit 2 which subtracts a delay video signal out of a video signal is inputted to a low-pass filter 8, whose output is in inverse proportion to (angular velocity). Therefore, the input to an A/D converting circuit 3 has the low frequency range emphasized relatively to the original difference output and has a flat frequency characteristic, and this low-frequency emphasized signal is transmitted in the form of a 4-bit digital signal. A receiving station side, on the other hand, inputs the output of a D/A converting circuit 5 to a high-pass filter 9, which suppresses the low frequency range which is emphasized relatively by the low-pass filter 8 to obtain the original difference output having a large high frequency range level. Therefore, the video signal led out of a decoding circuit superior in low frequency characteristic is obtained. |
