PURPOSE:To suppress harmonic waves and to remedy against at a trouble time by providing at least two dead sections in one substation, employing 12-phase transformers and supplying DC power by two power reactors. CONSTITUTION:Dead sections 31a, 31b, 31c, 31d are provided in one substation, AC outputs of 12-phase transformers 22a, 22b are rectified by power reactors having thyristor rectifiers 25a, 26a, 25b, 26b, supplied to trolley wires, the regenerative energy of an electric rolling stock is fed through a series circuit of a set of diodes 35a-38b and one of thyristor breakers 46a, 46b, and other power drive railcars are regenerated through a power inverter 43 to the AC power source side. Thus, harmonic waves can be suppressed, and even if one power reactor becomes defective, DC power can be supplied. Even if a trolley wire causes a shortcircuit trouble, the damage of the pantograph, etc. can be prevented, and the number of the thyristor breakers can be minimized. |
