PURPOSE:To constitute compactly a titled device by constituting it so that a platen for a book original can be used in common with exposure scanning of a sheet original, and executing the exposure scanning of the sheet original under carrying on the platen. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet original S is inserted from a sheet original inserting port 73, it is fed to a feeding path 51, is brought into press-contact with a bend part 50 of a gate plate 31 and stops. Subsequently, when it is synchronized with a photoreceptor and a solenoid 56 is turned on, the tip bend part 50 is shunted from the feeding path 51, the original reaches a carrying port 74, is carried on a platen 21, passes through on an exposure scanning optical system 37 and is discharged. In case of a book original, it is placed on the platen 21, and thereafter, when a platen cover 23 is closed, a carrying belt 25 presses and holds the book original. When a print start signal is generated, a guide plate 32 and the tip bend part 50 are shunted from a moving path of an original placing plate. Therefore, the original placing plate moves in the direction B, is inverted in the reverse direction at a point where one end (a) of the platen 21 goes slightly beyond the exposure scanning optical system 37, is synchronized with the photoreceptor, and when the other end (b) reaches the exposure scanning optical system 37, it is inverted again in the direction B, is returned to the initial position, and the guide plate 32 and the gate plate 31 are also reset to the original position. According to this system, the space can be reduced. |
