Large-capacity silo for bulk material, especially cement raw meal

At the centre of the base, the large-capacity silo has a conical hood which in conjunction with the cylindrical outer wall of the silo defines an annular base. Open airslides lead from the region of the base through extraction apertures to flow control valves in the interior of the cone. Adjoining the flow control valves 5 are closed airslides 6 which lead to a common storage container 9 in the interior of the conical hood. The open airslides 7 can be separated from the interior of the conical hood by cover valves 8 in order to permit the airslides to be repaired without interrupting silo operation. The cover valves are operated from the interior of the conical hood. <IMAGE>
