In a kick starting mechanism for a motor cycle a crank-shaft 1, a countershaft 3 and a drive shaft are provided parallely, on the end of the crank-shaft is fixed a pinion 2, on the end of the countershaft is rotatably mounted a drive gear 4 meshing with the pinion, between the drive gear and the countershaft is provided a centrifugal friction clutch 8 actuated in response to the number of revolutions per minute of the crank-shaft, between the countershaft and the drive shaft is provided a transmission gear mechanism and the drive gear is connected with a kick gear 11 so as to transmit rotation produced by kicking down of a kick pedal to the drive gear, the rotation being transmitted through an overrunning clutch 13, and rotate the crank-shaft. As shown the drive gear 4 is connected with the kick-gear 11 through a gear 16 on the drive shaft. |
