PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a pinion driving shaft, by supporting the pinion driving shaft to be held in its both sides centering said shaft when an engine is started. CONSTITUTION:The front part of a pinion driving shaft 20 is rotatably and slidably supported to and penetrating the front face wall 4a of a protective case 4 through a plain bearing 21, while the rear end part of the pinion driving shaft 20, to which a pinion stopper 24 restricting the advance position of a pinion 22 is fitted, is supported to the front face wall 3b of a reduction gear case 3 through an output shaft 10 in the advance position. When an engine is started, a bending load is applied to the pinion driving shaft 20 through the pinion 22, but the pinion driving shaft 20, being supported to be held in the both sides by the front face wall 3b of the reduction gear case and the front face wall 4a of the protective case, can be allowed to sufficiently correspond to the bending load, thus its durability is improved. |
