PURPOSE:To contrive to reduce size and weight, by a method wherein a pin tractor is rotated synchronously with a platen, and the rotation of the pin tractor can be continued in response to an error in paper feed quantity between a push tractor and the platen. CONSTITUTION:The pin tractor 1 is pressed against the platen 3 through a friction sheet 9 by a stopper 7 and a spring 8. The paper feed quantity of the platen 3 is set to be slightly smaller than the feed quantity of the push tractor 11, and the pin tractor 1 is rotated following up to the platen 3. When feeding of the paper proceeds and minute errors in the feed quantity are accumulated to reach a condition wherein the pin tractor 1 pulls the paper 4 relatively to the push tractor 11, the pin tractor 1 slips relatively to the platen 3, the feed quantity of the push tractor 11 and that of the pin tractor 1 coincide with each other, and the paper 4 is prevented from being disengaged from the tractor 11 and the pins of the tractor 1. |
