In the electrode arrangement, the essentially planar, separately produced membrane is held by an annularly closed support element which has stop surfaces and/or sealing surfaces in the region of the front side of the membrane, which surfaces form a liquid connection to at least one opening located on the annular support element as a connection to a throughflow system, and the rear electrical contacting of the membrane is effected by mechanical pressure with a takeoff element.
