发明名称 THICKNESS SHEAR PIEZOELECTRIC OSCILLATOR AND ITS MANUFACTURE
摘要 PURPOSE:To simplify the manufacture and assembling of a crystal oscillator by providing two metallic plates by which the center of a major plane of a piezoelectric element is fixed contactlessly and clipping the piezoelectric element between the metallic plates. CONSTITUTION:The bonding layers 3, 4 are formed by the screen printing corresponding to the outer circumferential edge of the metal after lots of the metallic plates 5, 6 are formed to a metallic member 10. Further, a crystal chip 2 is mounted on, e.g., the bonding layer 4 of the metallic plate 6 corresponding to their outer circumferential edges. The right half of the metallic member on which the metallic plate 5 is formed is folded by a folding section 11 and the metallic plate 5 is overlapped on the crystal chip 2. After the bonding layers 3, 4 are cured, a support 13 is cut off so as to cut off the crystal oscillator 1 from the metallic member 10. The center is fixed onto both major planes of the crystal chip 2 contactlessly by the bonding layers 3, 4. The crystal chip 2 is formed as an oval disc, the oscillating energy of the thickness shear oscillation is concentrated on the center of the crystal chip 2, allowing to reduce the fluctuation in the oscillation at the outer circumference of the crystal chip 2 to a very small value.
