PURPOSE:To obtain a long-sized zircalloy pipe having high corrosion resistance and high SCC resistance by providing cooling nozzles consisting respectively of single or plural stages on the outside and inside surfaces of a long-sized pipe and ejecting cooling water or gas so as to sandwich the pipe from the inner and outer sides thereof. CONSTITUTION:A long-sized zirconium alloy 1 is moved longitudinally in an axial direction and is rotated by a driving device. The pipe moves successicely into induction coils 2 for hardening and is heated inductively. The pipe, guided by rolls 3, passes between cooling nozzles 4, 5 provided respectively on the inside and outside surfaces of the pipe 1. The nozzles 4, 5 eject cooling water or gas so as to sandwich the pipe 1 thereby cooling quickly the pipe 1. |
