PURPOSE:To eliminate useless time by returning an affirmative response to a computer when the receiving of data for one page's share is finished from the computer and the multi-page is designated, requesting the next data transmission, and keeping to transmit a virtual data until the next data transmission is started after the end of data transmission for one page's share to the facsimile not to make the facsimile process the page end. CONSTITUTION:A data transmitted to a facsimile 6, e.g., a document is stored once in a memory 8 and the character data for one page's share is transferred from the memory 8 to the character buffer 10 by the control of a microprocessor 7. The character data transmitted from the character buffer 10 to a character pattern generator 11 is subject to dot pattern and transmitted to an MODEM 15 via a selector 14 at each line of the facsimile and transmitted to the facsimile 6 from a terminal FAX. When the document for one page's share is transmitted from the computer 1 and a multi-page signal MPS is transmitted, the microprocessor 7 transmits affirmative signal +RSP to the computer 1 by a communication control interface 9, and when the document for one page's share is lost from the memory 8, the selector 14 is switched and an output of a white signal generator 12 is transmitted to the terminal FAX via the MODEM 15. |
