Electric coffee maker using centrifugal filter

The centrifugal filter is rotated by an electric motor positioned centrally below it. The coffee discharged from the filter is received by a surrounding catchment dish with one or more outlets at the bottom allowing the coffee to be fed into cups arranged around the outside of the motor on an annular heat retention plate. The housing enclosing the electric motor projects above the level of the heat retention plate to support the catchment dish at a sufficient height to allow for the height of the cups inserted beneath it. The heat retention plate is pref. heated by the through flow water heater supplying the hot water to the filter. The coffee maker is compact.
