PURPOSE:To obtain a milk composition consisting of sunflower seed milk or seed milk prepared from sunflower seed and seed of fats and oils except sunflower, and edible reducing agent, useful as a drink even after long-period preservation. CONSTITUTION:Sunflower seed as a raw material is subjected to pulverization treatment such as grinding, etc. to give prepared seed milk. When seed milk obtained from sunflower seed and seed of fats and oils except sunflower is used, seed milk which is prepared by blending sunflower seed with the seed of fats and oils except sunflower, followed by subjecting the blend to pulverization treatment such as grinding, etc. in the presence of water, may be used, or seed milk prepared by grinding sunflower seed milk and the seed of fats and oils except sunflower separately, followed by blending them, may be used. The seed milk is blended with 0.001-5wt% edible reducing agent such as ascorbic acid, erythorbic acid, sulfurous acid, or its sodium, potassium salt, etc. |
