In order to hold pole coils (3) on integrally formed poles (1), without pole shoes, on an annular yoke (2) for electrical machines, edge recesses (1A) are provided parallel to the pole edges on the opposite side walls of the poles (1) at the level of the bottom of the pole coils, into which edge recesses (1A) in each case the side edges of an insulated snap bracket (6), which is spread for fitment, project from inside, which snap bracket presses in the stable snapped position by means of its bracket surfaces, which are sufficiently stiff, on both sides of a central snapping zone (6A) onto the bottom of the pole coils (3) and presses the latter onto the yoke and the poles.
