PURPOSE:To simply the inexpensive titled cable in the stable flocked state, having a light-weight protection pipe and suitable for protecting flexible shafts used for measuring instruments by a method wherein flocking is formed on a strip- like synthetic resin plate with electrostatic processing, and the resin plate is formed into an annular shape with a particular method. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive layer 2 is provided on the surface of a strip-like plate 1 made of thermoplastic synthetic resin, and a flocking layer 3 is formed thereon with an electrostatic processing method. Then, both sides of the plate 1 in the lengthwise direction are curved to be raised up while lengthwisely moving the plate, and opposed rising parts 1a, 1a are further curved causing their free ends to join with each other so that the plate 1 is formed into an annular shape. Subsequently, braiding 4 and a coating layer 5 are usually applied on the outer periphery of a flocked annular member 1' to obtain desired cable 6. To form the plate 1 into an annular shape, it is preferable to use such a method that a reforming bore 11 is formed in a drier 9 and the plate 1 is caused to pass through the bore 11. |
