Frame clamping device for mutually clamping the corners, to be joined together, of the legs of a frame, having clamping jaws which receive the frame between them, in each case grip round the mutually abutting ends of two frame legs and are movable relative to one another in the frame plane, said clamping jaws being connected to one another, so as to achieve precisely defined forces with respect to their direction of action, by way of guide elements extending parallel to the frame plane, and being able to be displaced along said guide elements to reduce the frame, and being drawn towards one another by an elastic clamping band surrounding the frame and clamping jaws and suspendible on the clamping jaws, to reduce the frame.
