PURPOSE:To obtain a heat exchanger capable of eliminating cleviated flow at the initial stage and thereby reducing the pressure loss, by disposing baffle plates having different surface areas and spaced inequally from each other in a plurality of stages concentratedly at an upper and a lower portions of a tube bundle section, and disposing grid-like baffle plates at the central portion of the tube bundle section. CONSTITUTION:Cooling medium introduced from an inlet nozzle 15 on the side of the casing is passed through a flow regulating vane 16 and carried into the central portion from an inlet port section 11. Then, the cooling medium is passed between cross-flow baffle plates 13 and carried toward lattice-like baffle plates 14 disposed at the central portion. Thereafter, the cooling medium is passed again through cross-flow baffle plates 13 and then discharged to the outside from an outlet port section 12. By disposing these cross-flow baffle plates concentratedly at an upper and a lower portions of a tube bundle section 10, it is enabled to prevent the influence of channeling on the side of the casing from being exerted toward the central portion of the casing and to eliminate channeling at the initial stage. Further, since grid-like baffle plates are disposed at the central portion of the tube bundle section 10, the flow of cooling medium is made parallel on the side of the casing, so that the total pressure loss at the tube bundle section 10 can be reduced. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to eliminate the deviated flow of cooling medium at the upper and lower positions of the tube bundle section while preventing the influence of deviated flow from being exerted toward the central portion of the casing, to reduce the temperature difference between heat exchanging substances, and to prevent buckling of heat exchanger tubes effectively. |
