PURPOSE:To obtain an effectively disentangled whisker composition, by mixing uniformly the prescribed amount of inorg. or org. fine powder having the prescribed average grain size with inorg. whiskers. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. inorg. whiskers and >=50pts.wt. inorg. or org. fine powder having 0.2-0.005mm. average grain size are mixed substantially and uniformly. As the inorg. whiskers, ceramic whiskers such as B and graphite, or metallic whiskers such as Fe, Ni are used. As the inorg. fine powder, clay, talc or the like, and as the org. fine powder, starch, milk sugar or the like are used, respectively. By this method, whiskers are effectively disentangled without being damaged and oriented two-dimensionally in the composition after the shearing stress is applied. |
