In order to provide an arrangement for safeguarding a grazing animal, which arrangement is not only easy to produce and to handle, but in addition allows animals to graze properly and safely, the invention proposes that this arrangement have a plate (1) which is to be secured on the ground and on which there is arranged, with one or more springs (6) interposed, the one end of a bar (7), at whose other end a rope (11) is attached. In the edge area of the plate (1) there are a number of continuous bores (2) onto which guide sleeves (3) are applied. Pointed pins (4) are fitted in the sleeves (3). The pointed pins (4) used are coarse-threaded steels. The pointed pins (4) are braced against the sleeves (3) by means of wing nuts (5). The one end of a spring (6) in the form of a helical spring is secured on the centre of the plate (1). <IMAGE>
