PURPOSE:To facilitate the adjustment of a spring load of a coil spring mounted around the outer periphery of a cylinder of a hydraulic damper to contract in the extension of a piston rod by pivoting a spring case to vary a distance between both spring carriers. CONSTITUTION:A spring carrier 3 is slidably fitted onto the outer periphery of a cylinder 1 in which a piston rod 2 slides. Also, an open end of the cylinder 1 is closed by a closing member 4 to which is fixedly secured a spring carrier 5. And between both spring carriers 3, 5 is tensioned a coil spring 6 to surround the cylinder 1. Further, to the piston rod 2 is fixed a spring adjusting plate 7 by a lock nut 8. On the other hand, an end of a spring case 10 is fixedly secured to a spring adjuster 11 bearing against the spring carrier 3 and slidably fitted onto the outer periphery of the cylinder 1 and the other end of the spring case 10 is arranged to be threaded onto the outer periphery of the spring adjusting plate 7. Thus, the spring case 10 is pivoted to vary the distance between both spring carriers 3, 5 and adjust the spring load. |
