PURPOSE:To obtain efficiently and economically a titled steel plate on an industrial scale in the stage of subjecting a silicon steel blank material having a specific compsn. to a series of processing stages and forming the unidirectional silicon steel plate by limiting the content of C in the blank material, the rate of decarburization in the specific step of the stages, and the texture of the steel plate. CONSTITUTION:A silicon steel blank material contg., by weight, 2.8-4.0% Si, 0.02- 0.15% Mn, and 0.008-0.080% total of >=1 kind of S and Se is hot rolled. The obtained hot-rolled steel plate is subjected to >=2 times of cold rolling including intermediate annealing at 40-80% final cold rolling draft and is thus finished to a prescribed plate thickness; further, the cold-rolled plate is subjected to decarburization annealing and final annealing whereby a unidirectional silicon steel plate is obtd. Here, the content of C in the blank material is kept within the range of the equation according to the content of Si. The blank material is decarburized to 0.006-0.020% C until the final hot rolling ends after the end of hot rolling. The carbides in the crystal grains of the steel plate are controlled to the deposition state in which the carbides are fined to 100- 500Angstrom sizes and are thoroughly dispersed after the intermediate annealing prior to the final cold rolling, whereafter the steel plate is subjected to the final cold rolling. |
