PURPOSE:To reduce the time for processing by providing a film detection means which detects that a film processing holder mounted internally with films is set in a developing device, film kind detection means which detects the kind of the films, etc. CONSTITUTION:When a film processing holder 5 is set in a holder setting part 2, the placement of the holder in a prescribed position is detected by a film detection means F. Whether the film mounted in the holder 5 is a disc film 3 or a roll film 4 is detected by film kind detection means G1, G2 and a CPU of a control device knows from these signals that the film to be processed is set. The simple and high speed control is made possible by the above-mentioned constitution and the time for processing is reduced.
