In the process according to the present invention for manufacturing a pouring nozzle 2 having better scaling resistance and better corrosion resistance, a binder is added to a raw material consisting of 42 to 93 % by weight of alumina powder in the form of a single substance, 4 to 44 % by weight of a graphite powder in the form of a single substance and 10 to 27 % by weight of fused silica powder in the form of a single substance, the resulting mixture is converted into granules, the granules are subjected to a pressing operation in a rubber press and the pressed pouring nozzle 2 is sintered at a low temperature so that the characteristics of the alumina, the graphite and the fused silica are maintained. <IMAGE>
