PURPOSE:To enable a multi-step speed change to be controlled through a mechanical means of less energy loss, by allowing a braking means to selectively brake the internal gear in one of the multi-step planetary gear mechanisms. CONSTITUTION:One of the input signals being speed change ratios of planetary gear mechanisms A1-A3 in a multi-step speed changer is selected from a detector 10 100 by a microcomputer 107 so that an output shaft 2 is driven at a preset speed. Then the selected control signal is instructed to a solenoid valve box 104 through a switch box 109. On the basis of said instruction, the solenoid valve box 104 opens a corresponding selector valve to brake an internal gear of the planetary gear mechanism corresponding to the speed change ratio. |
