A urethrography catheter for introducing X-ray contrast fluid into the urethra of the penis has a thickened part in the distal end area and a flat strip which can be wound around the penis as a clamping arrangement and which, with a hole, comes into engagement from the outside over the thickened part and thereby holds the catheter securely in its position and, by being wound right round the penis, guarantees a good sealing. On account of the low production costs, the construction is suitable for one-off use and is characterised by good tolerance on the part of the patient.
