PURPOSE:To prevent the collision of the end ring of a rotor with each member of a scroll fluid machine by engaging the upper edge of a sleeve whose lower edge contacts the upper edge of a motor rotor with the engaging stage part of a driving shaft and opposing said upper edge to the lower edge of an engine frame. CONSTITUTION:The upper edge of a sleeve 12 which contacts the upper edge of a motor rotor 52 and is fitted onto a driving shaft 3 is opposed to the lower edge surface of an engine frame 4 and is engaged with an engaging stage part 61 formed on a driving shaft 6. Since the clearance (t) between the upper edge of the sleeve 12 and the lower edge of the engine frame 4 is set smaller than the clearance T-1 between the upper edge part of the end ring of the rotor 52 and the clearance T-2 formed between an Oldham's ring 11a and a swing ring 10, the collision of the members in each clearance due to the upward shift of the driving shaft can be prevented.
