PURPOSE:To improve comfort in riding, by so constituting that noncontact type unnevenness detecting sensor of a road surface is provided in front of a front wheel so that air suspension characteristics are made to vary according to the unevenness of the road surface. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle enters into an uneven road surface area, an uneven state of a road surface detected by a ultrasonic sensor 34 is applied to a microcomputer 33. In addition to the above, as a supplement to the above, detected signals of a front underspring acceleration sensor 28 and displacement sensors 29 and 31 of a front and a rear air springs 2 and 4 are applied to a microcomputer 33 also. An uneven state of a road surface is decided by the microcomputer 33 based on these detected signals, an opening signal is applied to solenoid valves 9 and 19, effective capacities of surge tanks 8 and 18 are enlarged and vibration interrupting effect is improved. Throttle 7 and 17 are weakened by actuators 19 and 20, kinetic spring constants of the air springs 2 and 14 are reduced, throttling of shock absorbers 5 and 15 are strengthened and large attenuation force is made to display. A vibration is attenuated and comfront in riding is improved thereby. |
