PURPOSE:To improve coupling efficiency by packing resin containing a photopolymerizing agent which increases in refractive index by light irradiation between an optical fiber and a photodetecting light emitting element, and forming the 2nd light guide with a high refractive index by projected light from a light emitting element with an aperture angle greater than that of the projection light of the resin. CONSTITUTION:The optical fiber 2 is coupled with the photodetecting and light emitting element 3 by a photocoupler 1. The photodetecting light emitting element 3 has a light emission part 3b at the side surface center part of the main body 3a and a photodetection part 3c concentrically with the light emission part 3b, a wire 3d is connected between the main body 3a and photodetection and light emission parts 3b and 3c, and an attachment piece 3e is provided to the other end part of the main body. The photodetecting and light emitting element 3 faces the end surface of the core 2a of the optical fiber 2 and the resin 4 containing the photopolymerizing agent is charged between the optical fiber 2 and photodetecting and light emitting element 3 to couple the both in one body. Further, the 1st light guide 5, the 2nd light guide 6, and the 3rd light guide 7 are formed in the resin 4 and the resin 4 is fixed and stabilized by irradiation of ultraviolet rays 8 of an intermediate pressure mercury lamp used as fixation light. |
