PURPOSE:To stop completely the revolution of a turntable when a loading mechanism is working, by applying or releasing mechanical damping force to the turntable in relation to the operation of the loading mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When a reproducing operation is over, the electronic brake is applied to a motor. At the same time, the motor 124 is revolved, and a lever 142 of a microswitch 137 is kicked by a cam 122 and a lever 138. Thus a solenoid 129 conducts, and therefore a brake arm 126 is pulled toward K. Then a damping member 128 gives damping force to a turntable 52, and the table 52 revolving by inertia is quickly stopped. A loading mechanism works to move a recording disk 6 onto the table 52, and a pin 139 the lever 138 is fitted into a cut 141 of the cam 122. Then the lever 138 turns in the beta direction and moves apart from the lever 142, and therefore the conduction of the solenoid 129 is cut off. Thus the arm 126 is pulled by a spring 130, and the member 128 moves apart from the table 52. |
