This anti-skid tyre wrap-around device (Fig. 5) is easy to mount without moving the vehicle and, in one size, fits large and small motor vehicle wheels. It is composed of tread belt segments and side belt segments made of plastic or polyester fabric straps, and has a side belt locking device (16). The wrap-around element is firmly clamped on at its tread belt ends with a clamping cable (3) which is laid double through a reel rotary eyelet (1) and on both sides thereof through ball bearing rotary eyelets (18) to a double hook (19) and back, and can be rotated by the reel rotary eyelet (1) with a plug-on crank (Fig. 8) and thus shortened in all sections in a uniform manner. Said cable holds the tracking grip elements (21) and edge protection grip elements (22), which consist of steel plates with highly pressed spiked edges and are inserted under the tread bolts (17) in the latter's holes (20), on the tyre tread in a non-slip fashion.
