The regulating mechanism for wind power stations according to Fig. 1 fulfils the high requirements for wind power stations with regard to maintenance, service life and operational reliability with little expenditure. The object is achieved in the invention by a regulating rotor which is arranged in front of the main rotor and controls and regulates the wind power station with the energy of the incident-flow air. The regulating rotor, corotating with the main rotor, has a different high-speed rotation than the main rotor, and different incident-flow conditions result on the regulating rotor than on the main rotor. Torques of different direction and different size occur on the regulating rotor relative to the main rotor depending on the operating state. The torques are used by the regulating mechanism, and the angle of incidence of the main rotor blades is adjusted by means of a mechanism. The correct angle of incidence on the main rotor blades for the starting state, nominal operating state and storm operating state is set in each case automatically by the regulating mechanism. <IMAGE>
