PURPOSE:To make the beam output highly efficient obtaining a laser with excellent reliability by a method wherein a narrow band reflecting filter in an oscillating beam frequency is additionally provided on a laser device while arranging serially filter, laser, diode and photoguide in this order. CONSTITUTION:A single mode laser is composed of a photoabsorber 1, a narrow band reflecting filter 2, a laser diode 3 and a photoguide 4 arranged in this order in series. The filter 2 reflects only the spectral parts of the central frequency f0 of the oscillating beam frequency of the diode 3 permeating or scattering the spectral parts out of the frequency f0. Besides an optical fiber is used for the photoconductive channel 4. In such a constitution, the characteristics not to be expected by improving the characteristics of the diode itself may be created to obtain a laser with reliable longitudinal mode as well as less amplitude noise and phase noise. |
