摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a cathode-ray tube whose magnetic field generator section for correcting an electron beam track is not moved by comprising a part of an electrode that constitutes the electron gun of the cathode-ray tube with a magnetic material so that the electron beam track can be corrected. CONSTITUTION:A color cathode-ray tube is operated and the positional shift of a phosphor section that corresponds to an electron beam on a screen is detected, using a television camera. The amount that corrects the error, namely how much magnetic field may be applied by an electrode front G82, is calculated and the magnetic field is magnetized on the electrode front G82 at the position where the electrode front G82 is incorporated from the outside of a funnel 2 using a magnetization device. Besides, if the direction of the easy magnetization axis of an anisotropic magnetic body used in the electrode ftont G82 is set to the direction where the magnetic body approaches the central line of a cathode-ray tube as it approaches the direction where it is converged on an axis, i.e. to an electron gun 14 side, the shift amount of an electron beam 8 can be corrected even if it is large.
