PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of smoke in time of starting, by spraying the irreducible minimum of a fuel quantity required for starting by a specified time from starting a main engine, and also spraying the quantity of fuel injection required for speed increasing by way of feeding an air governor with simulating air pressure after the lapse of the specified time. CONSTITUTION:In time of engine stoppage, a selector valve 5 operates with working air pressure inside a line 13, and scavenging pressure is fed to an air governor 2 via lines 12 and 1. In time of engine starting, the working air pressure of the line 13 is released by degrees but the selector valve 5 still remains in its working position whereby the preset irreducible minimum of fuel injection quantity required is fed to an engine. After the elapse of a specified period of time,the selector valve 5 is set in operation and some simulating air pressure being set to the pressure equivalent to the fuel injection quantity required for speed increasing is fed to the governor 2 via the line 1. When the scavenging pressure comes higher than the simulating air pressure, a selector valve 4 operates and thereby the scavenging pressure is fed to the governor 2 via lines 10 and 1. |
