PURPOSE:To make a cam device compact as a whole and effectuate good lubrication, by placing portions of rollers which constitute the roller unit of the cam device, in small lubricating oil sumps. CONSTITUTION:The roller unit 8a of a cam device is fitted with oil sumps 23a, 23b, which contain lubricating oil 1 and cover rollers 6a, 6b except for portions in contact with a guide rod 5 on a cylindrical cam. Spacers 27a, 27b made of rubber or the like are provided between the open portions of the oil sumps 23a, 23b and the rollers 6a, 6b to prevent a large amount of the lubricating oil 1 from flowing out at a time. When the rollers 6a, 6b rotate while slipping on the guide rod 5 with the rotation of the cylindrical cam, the lubricating oil 1 in the sumps 23a, 23b constantly clings to the peripheral surfaces of the rollers. |
