<p>PURPOSE:To distinct clearly the difference in content between documents, by displaying the content from the head of each document at the same time, and scrolling lateally a character string on a display plane, in displaying the index of the documents. CONSTITUTION:In inputting a character from a keyboard KB, a memory address corresponding to a coordinate in a data buffer DBUF is obtained from a coordinate of display location on a display device CRT of an inputted cursor and character information inputted to the address is stored. Further, the content of the data buffer DBUF corresponding to the location inputted with the character is transferred to the same coordinate of a random access memory RAM. When the document index key is depressed, head 10-character of each line is transferred to the buffer DBUF and the document index is displayed on the display CRT. When the scroll key is operated, the content shifting the content of the buffer DBUF by one digit is transferred from the memory RAM and the display range of the buffer DBUF and the display device CRT is extended.</p> |
