PURPOSE:To insert an indicating sheet safely and surely into a coil being taken up by enabling a work hand that supports an indicating sheet holding device to move horizontally and enabling the work hand to turn through a turning frame. CONSTITUTION:In a weld zone indicating device of a coil that inserts an indicating sheet suplied by an indicating sheet supplying device 38 into a coil 6 of a strip 2 which is being taken up on a take-up shaft 32 by an indicating sheet holding device 12, a work hand 10 provided with the indicating sheet holding device 12 that holds and inserts the indicating sheet into the coil 6 is held by a work hand frame 20 allowing free horizontal movement in the direction of coil 6 axis by a work hand frame 20. The work hand frame 20 is held by a turning frame 22 to allow free turning, and mounted on a stand 28 which is made movable by a hydraulic cylinder 36 and a link 34 to align the turning axis 30 of the turning frame 22 with the center of the coil take-up shaft 32. |
