PURPOSE:To shorten the axial length of a flexible coupling and to make power transfer possible even when a laminated flexible plates are broken by making the diameter of an intermediate body larger than the outer width of the laminated flexible plates and by performing installation of the intermediate body connecting bolts at the outside of the space between the laminated flexible plates. CONSTITUTION:The diameter of intermediate bodies 17a and 17b is made larger than the outer width of laminated flexible plates 17a and 17b. As a result, tightening and removing of intermediate body connecting bolts 18 can be carried out at the outside of the space between laminated flexible plates 13a and 13b when a driving shaft 11a and a driven shaft 11b are connected to or disconnected from each other. Since the laminated flexible plates do not obstruct the connecting bolts 18 in being tightened or removed, the length of the intermediate bodies 17a and 17b can be reduced while the distance between the laminated flexible plate 13a and 13b can be shortened. |
