PURPOSE:To give flexibility to a saw blade and to manufacture a band saw blade whose bending peculiarity is improved, by making a cross-sectional shape of the band saw blade body vary. CONSTITUTION:A material whose cross section is uneven is manufactured by cold rolling or by continuous grinding though the latter is a little disadvantageous from an economical point of view. A cross-sectional shape is formed in dimensions, for example, of a=b=10mm., c=10mm., R=10mm. and t1=t-0.5mm., and saw teeth is formed on one edge side. The band saw blade having the cross- sectional shape like this is superior in its flexibility, though this blade possesses identical regidity compared with the band saw blade having a conventional rectangular cross section and familiarity with a band sawing machine is favorable. |
