PURPOSE:To provide a latent heat storage material having stable heat dissipation characteristics without undergoing phase separation by repeated fusion and solidification, by mixing PVA, acetone, and paraffin with CH3CO2Na.3H2O. CONSTITUTION:A heat storage material is obtained by adding 0.5-20pts.wt. PVA, 0.1-5pts.wt. acetone, and 0.1-5pts.wt. paraffin to 100pts.wt. CH3CO2Na. 3H2O and mixing then together. Since the m.p. of CH3CO2Na.3H2O having a great latent heat of fusion is not a congruent m.p. but a peritectic point, repeated fusion and solidification causes the progress of phase separation whereby CH3CO2Na is deposited at the bottom of a heat storage tank, with the result that the latent heat of fusion of CH3CO2Na.3H2O is reduced. By admixture of PVA, acetone, and paraffin with CH3CO2Na.3H2O, a latent heat storage material having extremely stable heat dissipation characteristics without undergoing phase separation is yielded and it can be pref. used in a heat accumulator for air conditioning, etc. |
