The invention relates to a table for small spaces, the table leaf of which is displaceable in a horizontal plane. As a result of this displacement, sufficient room is provided in small spaces to sit down at the table and leave the latter. The main use of the table is in caravans, kitchens, recesses in restaurants, ship's cabins, mountain huts and in spaces where table and chairs or benches are firmly connected to the floor.
