Pressbands for agricultural round balers are composed of rubber or rubber-like plastics with fabric inlays. For assembly reasons, as a rule they are not made endless, but are connected releasably by means of hook connectors in the baler itself. According to the invention, the fabric inlays are so-called reinforced fabrics, polyamide fibres being used exclusively, a warp system oriented in the longitudinal direction of the band being assigned to respective weft systems extending transversely to this.
