PURPOSE:To obtain a sufficient transfer speed, by adding to an emulsion an amphoteric compd. having an oleophilic atomic group and a hydrophilic atomic group in one molecule. CONSTITUTION:The amphoteric compd. having an oleophilic atomic group consisting of a >=5C alkyl, aryl, or aralkyl group, and a hydrophilic atomic group in one molecule is added to a silver halide emulsion used for a direct positive contg. an electron acceptor or halogen acceptor. The amphoteric compd. is exemplified on the right. Said compd. is added to the silver halide emulsion soln. by dissolving it in water or an org. solvent miscible optionally with water. |
