PURPOSE:To provide a low pollution spike pin by so arranging as to allow the spike rod to protrude on the tire surface by adjusting the tire inflation pressure in such a manner that the spike rod is affixed to the suction cup made of rubber and the like with bulging outer surface and concave inner surface, and the whole is attached to the inside of the tire by means of the suction cup. CONSTITUTION:The spike rod 3 is attached in the center of the suction cup 1 having the bulging outer surface and concave inner surface so the rod 3 protrude from same, and the rod 3 is embedded in the tire 9 so that the rod 3 passes through from inside out. The length of the spike rod 3 should be such that when the suction cup 1 is pressed, the rod 3 protrudes just on the tire surface. By this arrangement, the tire 9 inflation pressure presses the bulging part against the inner surface of the tire 9, and the tip of the spike rod 3 plays its spike function. When a hard road surface is encountered, the spike rod 3 sinks inside the tire 9. Thus, the wear of the spike pin and the damage to the road surface are reduced, and the slip on the snow surface is prevented. |
