The invention relates to a process for the production of adhesive bonds between shaped parts made from elastomers and other materials, in which the surface to be bonded of the elastomeric shaped part is precoated with an ester of 2-cyanoacrylic acid or a mixture of such esters, and the precoated surface is bonded to the shaped part made from nonelastomeric material using a known adhesive. The process is suitable for the bonding of elastomeric shaped parts to metal, plastic or glass.
