PURPOSE:To ensure the flat characteristics over a wide range of bands, by changing the size of a magnetic material which detects the changes of a signal magnetic field produced from a magnetic recording medium in the thickness direction of the recording medium toward the track width direction. CONSTITUTION:The size (d) of a magnetic material 3 which detects the change of a signal magnetic field produced from a magnetic recording medium 1 in the thickness direction of the medium 1 is changed in the width direction of a track 2. The reproduction frequency characteristics have a shift to a low frequency side with a large value of (d). Therefore, the frequency characteristics of a magnetic reproducer become flat over a wide range of bands by changing the size (d). |
