PURPOSE:To improve the resolution of a flaw detecting image, by providing an extraction circuit of peak signal in a processing circuit of a detecting signal. CONSTITUTION:A reflected echo signal 32 obtained by a probe 31 is detected by a detecting circuit 33. This signal is A/D-converted and supplied into a memory 34. The signal impressed to a memory is processed by the peak extracting circuit 35 for obtaining the peak value in correspondence to a time axis. The processed digital signal is subjected to brightness modulation by a brightness modulation circuit 36 in correspondence to the signal level. Then, the modulated signal is sent to a display circuit 37 for picture constitution to display by operating a display element. An RF waveform 10 is a contrary echo signal 32, a detecting waveform 41 is a signal passed through the circuit 33, and a brightness modulation waveform 42 is the waveform after the brightness modulation circuit. |
