In a device for drawing warp yarns into a weaving reed, the device frame guided in a guide along the weaving reed has a draw-in hook and a fixing sinker which are arranged offset relative to one another, the fixing sinker being displaceable relative to the frame along the weaving reed. When the draw-in hook is in engagement with the weaving reed, the disengaged fixing sinker is displaced one division of the weaving reed and then brought into engagement with the weaving reed, before the draw-in hook comes out of engagement. As soon as this draw-in hook is out of engagement, the frame together with the draw-in hook follows up one division and can subsequently draw the next warp yarn into the weaving reed.
