An extruded sealing strip of rubber or plastics material, for fitting to a bodywork edge 5 e.g. of an automobile comprises at least one flexible lip 2 having, near its free edge, an auxiliary protuberance 3 which is attached by a contracted or constricted zone so as to be easily detachable.
