PURPOSE:To form small corrugation with high accuracy, by detecting the height of corrugation formed on a thin sheet by a wave height detector and controlling a rolling reduction device feeding back the signal. CONSTITUTION:A thin sheet 1 is pressed against the surface of a grooved roll 5 by high-pressure water jet spouted from a high-pressure water jetting nozzle 42, and plastically deformed in conformity with the groove. The thin sheet passed out from a corrugating member 41, that is, a corrugated sheet is held by pressing rolls 46 and vibration is absorbed. Under this condition, the height of corrugation is detected by a wave height detector 33, and detected signal is fed back to a controlling device 35, and the opening of a pressure regulating valve is regulated according to deviation from a target value. By this way, the pressure of high pressure water jet spouted from the high pressure-water jetting nozzle 42 is regulated and the amount of interlocking of the thin sheet 1 into the groove, that is, the height of corrugation is regulated. |
